Junior Coach Award – Online Course (Ages 14–16) The Junior Coach Award is an online training course designed for young people aged 14–16 who want to begin their journey into sports coaching. This award prepares Junior Coaches to support lead coaches in school-based gymnastics and trampolining sessions, after-school clubs, and holiday programmes. The focus is on safety, encouragement, and professionalism, giving you the skills and confidence to take on an important role in the coaching team. 📘 Course Modules ✅ Module 1 – Safeguarding Learn how to protect children physically, emotionally, and online. Follow safeguarding rules, understand boundaries, and know how to report concerns immediately. ✅ Module 2 – Junior Coach Responsibilities Understand your role in supporting the lead coach. Help with equipment and safety, assist with small tasks, and keep children engaged and motivated. ✅ Module 3 – Professional & Personal Boundaries Discover how to use positive language, maintain appropriate relationships with children and parents, and treat everyone fairly and respectfully. ✅ Module 4 – Supporting Basic Gymnastics & UKAG Awards (Level 1) Support children with fundamental skills in floor, beam, bars, and rebound. Learn how to encourage correct shapes, remind gymnasts of safe landings, and help the lead coach by recording progress in the UKAG Awards books. ✅ Module 5 – Full Recap & Final Quiz Review all learning and complete the final assessment quiz.
